Who is responsible
Stat Thief ("the site") is operated by an individual publisher based in France. For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights described below, write to [email protected].
What the game itself collects
The game is a single page that runs entirely in your browser. It has no user accounts, no login, no registration form, no newsletter and no server-side database of players. Your draft, your legend's name, your club and your season results exist only in your browser's memory while the page is open, and are discarded as soon as you reload or close the tab. None of it is transmitted to the site's owner.
The site does not ask you for your name, your email address, your date of birth, your location or any other personal detail in order to play.
Third parties that may collect data
Like most free websites, Stat Thief may use third-party services to cover its costs and to understand how many people visit. These services, not the site owner, are the ones that set cookies and read technical information:
Advertising
This site may display advertising served by Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalised advertising by visiting aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.com.
For a full description of how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
Audience measurement
The site may use a web analytics service to count visits and understand which pages are read. This produces aggregated statistics - page views, approximate country, type of device, referring site. It is not used to identify you individually and the site owner cannot connect it to a real person.
Fonts
Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. Requesting a font file means your browser contacts Google's servers, which receive your IP address and basic browser information as part of that request.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser. Similar technologies - web beacons, pixel tags, device or advertising identifiers, local storage - work in comparable ways. On this site they may be used to:
- select and deliver advertising, including personalised advertising where you have consented to it;
- measure the performance of advertising and detect invalid activity or fraud;
- produce aggregated audience statistics;
- remember your consent choices so you are not asked on every page.
The game's own features require no cookie at all. If you block every cookie, Stat Thief still works normally.
Your consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent banner is shown before any non-essential cookie is placed. You may accept, refuse, or choose per purpose, and you can change your mind at any time by reopening the consent settings from the banner link. Refusing does not prevent you from playing; it means any advertising shown is non-personalised.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act you have the right to access, rectify, erase and port your personal data, to object to processing, and to restrict it. Because this site holds no account and no personal database, the practical route for most of these rights is through the third parties listed above, which are the data controllers for the data they collect. For anything the site owner does hold - for example an email you sent - write to the address at the top of this page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in France that is the CNIL.
Children
Stat Thief is a general-audience football game and is not directed at children under 13, and no data is knowingly collected from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this site, contact the address above and it will be deleted.
External links
This site links to other websites. Once you follow such a link, this policy no longer applies and the destination site's own policy governs what happens to your data.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as the site changes - for example if an advertising or analytics provider is added or removed. The date at the top of the page always reflects the most recent version.
