What to include in a bug report
Stat Thief runs entirely in your browser, so almost every bug depends on what you were doing when it happened. The more of this you can give, the faster it gets fixed:
- The position you were drafting (Forward, Midfielder or Defender).
- Roughly which round it happened in, and whether a random event had just fired.
- Your browser and whether you are on desktop or mobile.
- A screenshot, if the problem is visual - a button off-screen, text overlapping, a card that will not open.
Balance feedback
Feedback about a specific player's grades is welcome and genuinely gets acted on, but it helps to be concrete. "This rating is wrong" is hard to use; "this player has a B for aerial ability and that seems low given how he was used" is something that can be checked and changed. Remember that grades are deliberately simplified - see the grade scale guide for how they are built.
Rights holders and takedown requests
Stat Thief references real clubs and real footballers by name for identification and commentary. It uses no club crests, no official logos, no player photographs and no licensed artwork. If you represent a club, a player, a league or a rights holder and believe something on this site infringes your rights, email the address above with the specific page, the specific element, and the right you are asserting. Requests are handled personally and quickly.
Press, links and collaborations
Happy to answer questions about how the game was built, the design of the draft system, or the balancing process. If you run a football site or a dev blog and want to write about it, get in touch and you will get straight answers rather than a press kit.
